In 2023, Mabanaft partnered Austrian BWT Lechner Racing and provided fuel solutions that delivered a reduction of the C02 emissions from the team’s road transport logistics to net-zero.
Mabanaft and BWT Lechner Racing entered into a long-term partnership, covering the Porsche Super cup seasons from 2023 to 2025. Mabanaft delivers Renewable Diesel (HVO100) to Lechner Racing, thereby enabling the team to switch away from conventional diesel fuel for their road transport trucks. The remaining residual balance of the road transport CO2 emissions are offset using Voluntary Emissions Reduction certificates (VERs).
The BWT Lechner Racing team logistics comprises three transport vehicles: namely one large truck and two smaller vans. Throughout a season, these vehicles are used to transport the team’s race cars and equipment from their headquarters in Thalgau, Austria, to eight racetracks across Europe and back again.
