Most recently, we rolled up our sleeves and planted European beech trees in the Klövensteen forest, Hamburg´s biggest local recreation area. Together with Klimapatenschaft, Trinkwasserwald e.V. and the Klövensteen forestry office, we’re supporting the “Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein plant drinking water” campaign.
As part of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) initiative, school classes can join the planting campaign through our “Initiative Pro Klima”, giving young people the chance to experience nature and climate protection first-hand.
During the activities, the children experienced the forest from a completely different perspective – with sparkling eyes and full of enthusiasm, they swung their spades to plant the small cuttings in the ground. And we at MB Energy also contributed to the reforestation effort.
