New Hydrogen Refuelling Station for trucks in Lübeck

After months of construction work, the hydrogen filling station in Lübeck is finally open and waiting for truck drivers to fill their tanks with H2. This is an important step in developing a reliable hydrogen infrastructure.

The station can refuel up to 50 trucks per day. This equates to a daily capacity of around 2,000 kilograms of hydrogen. Strategically located near the junction of the A1 and A20 motorways, the new hydrogen filling station is adjacent to an existing MB Energy Group diesel filling station. The new depot filling station will be seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure of the MB Energy Group's commercial road transport division. The division currently operates over 400 conventional filling stations within the tankpool24 network.

“It is a proud moment for us to inaugurate this station today,” says Philipp Kroepels, Director New Energy at MB Energy. “Thanks to our team, as well as our partners and suppliers, who have worked hard over the last few months to finalise construction, we are turning a vision into a tangible contribution to Germany's hydrogen economy.”
