Appreciation for a strong legacy
Hamburg-based Petronord GmbH can look back on an impressive track record: since its foundation in the late 1990s, it has been on a continuous growth trajectory and, as a holding company, is now active on behalf of numerous companies in the end-user energy sector in Germany, Austria and Sweden. Its range of services extends from heating oil and diesel trading, through lubricants and wood pellets, to professional energy solutions and, amongst other things, bitumen trading.

The rebranding of Petronord is part of MB Energy’s overarching brand strategy, under which more than 50 individual brands from the former Mabanaft Group are being brought together under a strong shared identity. For Petronord and its subsidiaries, the new brand identity is part of a comprehensive integration process that brings not only a visual change but also a clear shared commitment: to customer focus, innovative strength and a secure, sustainable energy supply, whilst maintaining a local workforce and close ties with customers.
MB Energy stands for a decentralised and flexible supply structure, underpinned by a strong regional presence such as that of the former Petronord companies. These companies, their people and their customer relationships remain a central part of the group – and they too will benefit in the near future from the new brand identity and, consequently, even greater visibility and strength. Initially, the rebranding of the individual companies within the Petronord Group will begin with a co-branding phase.

The new name brings with it a fresh design, a modern logo and a clear vision – the spirit, expertise and partnership-based approach that Petronord has always stood for are part of this and will be preserved.
