The delivery is preceded by a comprehensive analysis of potential bio-components that Mabanaft can blend into the B30 biofuel. To this end, all options were assessed for their quality and their potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The agreement with Hapag-Lloyd initially covers a delivery of 1,000 metric tonnes of B30. Further volumes could follow in 2025.
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in shipping with B30 biofuel

Mabanaft aims to expand its biofuel business in the Port of Hamburg
To date, the Port of Hamburg has played only a minor role in the bunkering business for fuels such as B30.
