Mabanaft Group to change company names into MB Energy

  • With 75 years of experience, MB Energy combines tradition with innovation to ensure a reliable energy future.
  • Mabanaft is repositioning itself as a unified, forward-looking energy supplier with a clear focus on customers, innovation and forward-looking solutions.
  • By bringing together over 50 brands under a single identity, the group is strengthening its role in decentralised energy supply and security.

After more than 75 years of successful business history, the Mabanaft Group is repositioning itself. With a comprehensive rebranding, the company is underlining its transformation into a forward-looking energy supplier that places customer focus, innovations for the energy transition and progress even more firmly at the heart of its business.

Jonathan Perkins, CEO of MB Energy*, explains: “Our new brand marks the start of an exciting new chapter – it is far more than just a new name or a new logo. It embodies our clear commitment to a secure and sustainable energy supply. Thanks to our strong roots in Germany and our many years of experience in Europe and beyond, we are able to provide our customers today with reliable and flexible energy solutions as well as a high-performance storage infrastructure – and we will continue to stand by their side tomorrow as their needs evolve. With this bold step, we are setting the course for the future of our company and the markets we serve.”

The Mabanaft Group has been operating very successfully for many years with over 50 different brands and will in future bring all individual brands together under the MB Energy umbrella. This also includes the brands of “Oiltanking Germany, Hungary and Denmark”.

The Group is growing together and is now evolving into an even stronger, customer-focused provider of energy solutions for today and tomorrow. The new brand identity reflects this transformation and emphasises the company’s core competencies: a reliable and forward-looking energy supply with bespoke solutions for residential and business customers, as well as decentralised tank farm solutions.

Decentralised energy supply plays a crucial role in the energy transition and security of supply. Through the storage tank systems of Oiltanking Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG – which will operate under the new brand enport – by MB Energy** – and its many years of experience in energy and fuel trading, the MB Energy Group ensures a stable energy supply and distribution. In this way, the group actively contributes to energy supply and supports industries, businesses and households with bespoke energy solutions – also with a view to the future when it comes to lower-carbon solutions.

An up-and-coming player in the energy sector

With its new brand identity, the MB Energy Group is positioning itself as an up-and-coming player in the energy sector, combining tradition and innovation. The company remains true to its Hanseatic roots whilst, at the same time, breaking new ground with a focus on forward-looking technologies.

André Cardoso, SVP Sales & Marketing at MB Energy*, says: “With the new brand, we are pooling our resources to provide our customers with a reliable and comprehensive energy supply, both today and in the future. It fills me with pride to see how our company is coming even closer together and shaping the future of energy supply as one.”

Jonathan Perkins, CEO of MB Energy*, adds: “We have a history stretching back over 75 years, of which we are very proud, and our gaze is fixed firmly on the future – towards a secure energy supply that is fit for the future.”

From now on, MB Energy will present itself with a new logo, a fresh design and a clear vision for the future. The new brand identity will be reflected across all communication channels and will emphasise the commitment to a secure and sustainable energy supply worldwide. Within the group, the brands “Oiltanking Germany, Hungary and Denmark” will be renamed “enport – by MB Energy”. The next step will see the company WESTFA and the individual companies within the Petronord Group follow suit.

*At the time of publication, the company is still called Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG and will be renamed MB Energy Holding GmbH & Co. KG shortly.

**will shortly be renamed enport GmbH & Co. KG.
