Most recently, we rolled up our sleeves and planted European beech trees in Klövensteen, Hamburg’s largest local recreation area. Together with the organisations Klimapatenschaft and Trinkwasserwald e. V., as well as the Klövensteen Forestry Authority, we are supporting the ‘Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein Plant Drinking Water’ campaign.
As part of the ‘Education for Sustainable Development’ (ESD) initiative, school classes have the opportunity, through our ‘Initiative Pro Klima’, to take part in the planting campaign and thus experience nature and climate protection at first hand.
During the activities, the children experienced the forest from a completely different perspective: with sparkling eyes and full of enthusiasm, they wielded their spades to plant the small cuttings in the ground. And we at MB Energy have also made a contribution to reforestation.
