Since the start of the year, Mabanaft has been working closely with its partner Skytanking to ensure safe and seamless operations for customers at Frankfurt Airport. Key milestones this year include the successful launch of supplies to Singapore Airlines and the Lufthansa Group as customers.
“These partnerships underline our aim to improve aviation supply chains in Germany and across Europe. Thanks to our extensive network of fuel depots, we are able to ensure a reliable supply,” says Simon Weiss, Head of Aviation at Mabanaft. “We look forward to continuing our work in the aviation sector, ensuring that we support both today’s and tomorrow’s travel needs by working closely with our customers and partners,” he adds.
As part of the European SAF mandate, Mabanaft will deliver over 1,000 tonnes of SAF to Frankfurt Airport in 2025, thereby highlighting one of the ways in which the company is committed to a more sustainable future for aviation, by providing alternatives to conventional aviation fuels.
Mabanaft offers its customers a broad and flexible product range – not only for the conventional market, but also plays an active role in providing marketing channels for low-carbon fuel solutions. The main focus is on expanding the business, particularly in sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as aviation, by utilising its core competencies in the procurement, storage, handling and distribution of liquid fuels.
The Mabanaft Group is a leading independent and integrated energy company that provides its customers with bespoke energy solutions in the transport, heating, industrial and agricultural sectors. The Group is active in the import, distribution and marketing of petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas, chemicals and biofuels, and supports its customers in the transition to cleaner fuels by offering alternative long-term solutions.
